La Permaculture is a design system for creating sustainable human environments. For the creation and development of the garden, Ras de Terra has been based on permaculture. The word itself is a contraction of permanent agriculture and culture, which it’s based on respectful agriculture and an ethic use of land. The focus is to create ecologically responsible and economically viable systems using the inherent qualities of plants and the natural characteristics of the landscape, all of which taking as a priority their durability over time without contaminating or exploiting the land.
Permaculture is a technique that seeks to obtain and yield and at the same time maintain, care for, and replace the soil and land, and this is how Ras de Terra has designed and cultivated its garden. In short, the objective is to build a harmonious project with nature, abandoning the idea of man's superiority over the natural world. The words humility and human derive from "humus", which means earth, mud, land ... recovering humility, recovering contact with nature and transmitting the importance of preserving the wealth of the Earth that feeds us every day and provides us with the most essential that the human being needs.

The gastronomic heritage is a fundamental pillar of villages, regions and countries. Culinary traditions are rooted in history, culture, the landscape, climate, and local customs. Food brings people together, it’s a ritual where together we share, enjoy and celebrate.
At Ras de Terra gastronomy will have a great message to communicate, promote and disseminate. The gastronomic culture of Extremadura is the result of its history, an arduous journey of migration and invasions. Centuries after centuries have left their mark on the ingredients, cooking methods, unique dishes and customs creating a unique identity.
A special highlight is the Pimentón de la Vera, which is known worldwide and has positioned this region internationally on the map.
